We’ve Updated Our Privacy Policy — Here’s Why

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve updated our privacy policies not only to ensure they’re as clear as they can be, but also to bring our policies into alignment with a new law in Europe known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What is the GDPR? According to our recent guide on the topic, the GDPR is “a regulatory act adopted by the European Parliament in April 2016. It’s aimed at protecting data and privacy for all individuals within the European Union, and addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.” If you still need to prepare for GDPR, it’s not too late, and our guide is the ultimate resource to help you become compliant with the regulation.

With this in mind, here are just a few of the changes we made to our Privacy Policy to ensure our policies are GDPR compliant:

  • The GDPR requires us to inform our users about the legal basis on which we process their data. In this update to our Privacy Policy, we explain what data we collect and why.

  • We also describe our security practices in more detail

  • Throughout the Privacy Policy, we provide greater transparency and insight into our data collection, data handling, data retention, and data deletion processes

In short, we’re proud to ensure our customers’ privacy and provide greater transparency in terms of how we process personal data.
